SLTF Participates in the MoE’s Annual Education week

The Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) participated in the Ministry of Education’s (MoE) Annual Education Week conference and exhibition, held from 20th to 24th November, 2023 at the Labadi Beach Hotel. The event served as a platform for key stakeholders in the education sector to collaboratively reevaluate the education system, focusing on policies and interventions for enhanced service delivery and national transformation.

This year’s conference revolved around the theme “Education Delivery for National Transformation: The case for STEM and TVET,” underscoring a dedicated emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

The event served as an opportunity for various agencies under the Ministry of Education to showcase their achievements. Each agency, including the SLTF, set up booths to highlight their contributions and milestones.

Distinguished guests at the event included the Minister for Education; Hon. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and his Deputy; Hon. Rev. John Ntim Fordjor. The Minister for Information; Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah also graced the occasion.

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum; the Education Minister, commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his substantial financial support of the educational sector, which has resulted in significant progress and innovations. He characterized the ongoing changes in education as instrumental to national development and urged all stakeholders to persist in their support, ensuring continued enhancements in outcomes.

A notable presence from the SLTF included the Disbursement Directorate led by Mr. Kofi Abbew Nkrumah, the Head of Audit Mr. Stephen Adu, and the Director of Finance and Administration (DFA); Mr. Justice Sarkodie. Their active involvement underscored the Fund’s commitment to the conference’s objectives.

The SLTF’s Public Relations team also played a pivotal role in effectively communicating the Fund’s initiatives and contributions. Among the PR representatives present were Mrs. Jennifer Amansunu Kwao; Manager of PR (Customer Experience), Ms. Barbara Sarfoah Danso; Assistant Manager of PR, and Ms. Estella Bortey; Senior PR Assistant.

The event served as a collaborative platform for stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogues, paving the way for continued advancements in the education sector and the realization of national transformation goals.
