SLTF Engages Ghana School of Law on Students Loan Plus

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the Students’ Leadership of the Ghana School of Law paid a courtesy call to Dr. Saajida Shiraz, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) at her office. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the inclusion of professional law students in the Students Loan Plus program.

During the meeting, the CEO expressed her delight in meeting with the students’ leadership and reaffirmed the SLTF’s commitment to providing financial support to students in various tertiary institutions, including professional schools like the Ghana School of Law. The Students Loan Plus program aims to provide financial assistance to students pursuing professional programs, and the SLTF is eager to partner with the Ghana School of Law to make this a reality.

The students’ leadership, led by the President of the Ghana School of Law Students’ Representative Council, Nana Opoku Ware, discussed the potential benefits of the program for their colleagues and sought clarification on the implementation processes. Notably, they proposed a campus activation strategy to streamline the application processes, ensuring maximum awareness and accessibility for their colleagues.

The CEO provided insight into the eligibility criteria, application procedures, and loan disbursement, assuring them that the process would be smooth and transparent. “Students Loan is ready to serve as Guarantor to enhance fees payment for Professional Law students”, she mentioned.

The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding and commitment to work together to ensure the successful implementation of the Students Loan Plus program for professional law students. The SLTF CEO appreciated the courtesy call and looked forward to a fruitful partnership with the Ghana School of Law.
