The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) was the Guest Speaker at this year’s University Students Association of Ghana (USAG) Handing Over and Swearing-in Ceremony, held at the Accra International Conference Centre. Speaking on the theme: “Mobilising for Ghana’s Future, the Role of the University Student”. The CEO, in reference to the part derived from H.E. President Akufo-Addo’s launch of Ghana’s 60th Anniversary Theme and Logo, reiterated the President’s call on Ghanaians to not only see the anniversary as one of celebration, but to reflect, unite and challenge ourselves. She therefore, called on the youth and the students in particular to: invest their youthfulness in areas that will empower them to realize their dreams of dignified and prosperous lives; examine the choices and decisions they make now and in the future and objectively ask themselves if they are on the right path; and to wake up to the realization that the gift of a dignified and prosperous Ghanaian, will not fall like manna from heaven but rather, for those who plan, prepare, and dedicate their time to the areas that deliver results in their educational lives.
