Management Profile

In Feb 2014, Mrs. Sheila Naah Boamah became the next Chief Executive Officer and Board Secretary of the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF).

Mrs. Sheila Naah Boamah brings to the position a combination of deep knowledge and skills gained from rising through the ranks in institutions that cut across the private sector, public sector and United Nations. She gained over sixteen (16) years of work experience in finance, governance, public policy, administration, negotiations and management. She is known for her strong desire for innovation and results.

Mrs. Sheila Naah Boamah, has a long history with civil society, notably when she served on the Multi-stakeholder Committee of the Voluntary Partnership Agreement (VPA) as the Representative of Ministry of Finance and when she served as a member of the Ghana Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (GHEITI). She is currently the Chairperson of the Legal, Finance and Staff Committee of the Association of African Higher Education Financing Agencies (AAHEFA) headquartered in Dar es Salaam Tanzania.

She gained private sector experience when she managed her own tourism Start- up, and when she worked as a Human Resource Manager for another start-up company established under African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA). She has worked in the capacities of Finance Officer and Administrative Assistant to the Country Director when she worked for the International Labour Organization (ILO).

Mrs. Sheila Naah Boamah, holds a MA Management Degree (2005) from the University of Brighton, a BA Accounting and Sociology (2001) from the University of Ghana and several supplementary courses including;

  • Transforming Public Service Delivery,
  • Managing Change and Negotiation,
  • Education for the 21st Century Development,
  • Mini MBA in Oil and Gas,
  • Macroeconomic Management and Natural Resource Management (MNRM),
  • Performance Indicators and Results Based Management Implementation,
  • Fiscal Decentralisation, Accountability & Corruption,
  • Public Procurement Management, and
  • Public Financial Management and Encouraging Private Sector Participation in National Budget Formulation Process.

In 2016, she was recognized and listed amongst the top 50 corporate women leaders in Ghana by The African Network of Entrepreneurs. She has also won many awards and recognitions including;

She is married to a renowned lawyer and has three children.

Mr. Yaw Amponsah-Amoah is the Director of Finance of the Students Loan Trust Fund. He has over 15 years work experience in Accounting, Finance and Investment. He was a Senior Investment Officer for Activity Venture Finance Company. Prior to that he worked with the PricewaterCoopers (PWC) Ghana, Barry Callebaut (GH) Ltd, and Produce Buying Company Ltd.

He holds an MBA (Business Finance) from University of Hull, UK. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA), Ghana.

Mrs. Gifty Appiasie  was appointed in April 2014 as the Head of Internal Audit, at the Trust Fund. She has twelve (12) years work experience as an Internal Auditor. Having worked earlier with the World Vision, Ghana, for five (5) years as a Sector Auditor, she also had an extensive working stint with the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Accra as Quality Assurance Manager, Operations Manager and an Internal Auditor for over seven (7) years.

Mrs. Appiasie had earlier worked in an Audit firm as a trainee Accountant and in Internal Revenue Service (IRS) now Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) as a District Accountant for over five (5) years. She also held various positions while working with Giglo Ventures, Gyechie Danquah & Co. and EBADDO Services all in Accra, Ghana.

The Chief Internal Auditor’s area of training and diverse expertise spans from Operations and Financial Audit; Forensic Audit; Taxation; Financial Accounting; Enterprise Risk Management; Strategic Management; Procurement Management; Asset Management; Monitoring & Evaluation and Quality Assurance among others.

She holds MBA (Auditing) from the Institute of Professional Studies Legon, Accra and is a member of the Association of the Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) having obtained certification up to the professional level.

Ms. Rosemary Aryee is the Principal Manager of Operations.  She joined the Fund as Administrative Manager and moved on to become Loan Disbursements Manager.  She has over 20 years work experience in Executive Secretarial, Corporate Administration, Human Resource Practice, Procurement Management and Students’ Loan Administration.

Prior to her appointment to the Students Loan Trust Fund, she worked with London Probation, UK; Adecco Recruitment Consultants, UK; Solar Light Co Ltd, Ghana; Ghana Oil Palm Development Company; Graphic Communications Ltd, Ghana and has industry experience spanning the public service, private sector and international.

She holds a MSc in Corporate Governance from the London South Bank University, UK;       Post-Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from GIMPA, Accra and BA Secretaryship (French option) from the University of Cape Coast.  She is also a Graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, (ICSA) UK.

Mr. Jupiter Nyamadi is the Head of the Planning, Research & Information Systems of the Students Loan Trust Fund. He has over 10 years of Information and Communications Technology experience in the field of Systems Analysis, Software Development (Web, Mobile and Desktop), Database Design and Administration, IT Project Management, IT Service Management and Network/Systems Administration. He has held various senior IT positions at Explainer DC, Alcami Design, Meshcode Ltd. and Data Telecom Ltd.

He holds a Commonwealth Executive MBA and BSc. Computer Science, both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology.

Mr. Isaac Kofi Abbew Nkrumah is the Principal Manager of Technical and Resource Mobilization of the Trust Fund. He has over 12 years work experience in the field of Microfinance and was a Director of Operations for Christian Rural Aid Network. Prior to that, he worked with Plan Ghana, Microfinance and Small Loans Scheme, Initiative Development Ghana and Akoti Rural Bank in various capacities.

He holds an Executive MBA (Entrepreneurial Option) from University of Ghana and a BSc. Land Economy from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Procedure

Step 1 Download and print the Loan Application form by clicking on the download button.
Step 2 Complete the Loan Application Form, Guarantor Deed and Students Loan Agreement forms.
Step 3 Attach 2 recent passport size photographs (Do not staple or glue passport pictures.
Step 4 Submit 2 complete sets of the application forms together with all relevant documents attached, to your campus or zonal office.
